Paper art is more durable than it looks. A few simple habits keep a quilled piece beautiful for years.
Quilled art is made from acid-free paper, so it will not yellow the way newsprint does. Keep a piece out of direct sunlight and away from damp, and it will hold its color for decades.
To dust, use a soft dry brush and a light hand — never a cloth, which can catch a coil. Framed pieces are best behind glass with a small spacer so the paper never touches the pane.
